22：28所以我们说，日后你们对我们，或对我们的后人这样说，我们就可以回答说，你们看我们列祖所筑的坛是耶和华坛的样式。这并不是为献燔祭，也不是为献别的祭，乃是为作你我中间的证据。
Therefore said we； that it shall be； when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to e； that we may say again； Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD； which our fathers made； not for burnt offerings； nor for sacrifices； but it is a witness between us and you。
22：29我们在耶和华我们神帐幕前的坛以外，另筑一座坛，为献燔祭，素祭，和别的祭，悖逆耶和华，今日转去不跟从他，我们断没有这个意思。
God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD； and turn this day from following the LORD； to build an altar for burnt offerings； for meat offerings； or for sacrifices； beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle。
22：30祭司非尼哈与会中的首领，就是与他同来以色列军中的统领，听见流便人，迦得人，玛拿西人所说的话，就都以为美。
And when Phinehas the priest； and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel which were with him； heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spake； it pleased them。
22：31祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈对流便人，迦得人，玛拿西人说，今日我们知道耶和华在我们中间，因为你们没有向他犯了这罪。现在你们救以色列人脱离耶和华的手了。
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben； and to the children of Gad； and to the children of Manasseh； This day we perceive that the LORD is among us； because ye have not mitted this trespass against the LORD： now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD。
22：32祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈与众首领离了流便人，迦得人，从基列地回往迦南地，到了以色列人那里，便将这事回报他们。
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest； and the princes； returned from the children of Reuben； and from the children of Gad； out of the land of Gilead； unto the land of Canaan； to the children of Israel； and brought them word again。
22：33以色列人以这事为美，就称颂神，不再提上去攻打流便人，迦得人，毁坏他们所住的地了。
And the thing pleased the children of Israel； and the children of Israel blessed God； and did not intend to go up against them in battle； to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt。
22：34流便人，迦得人给坛起名叫证坛，意思说，这坛在我们中间证明耶和华是神。
And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed： for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God。

23：1耶和华使以色列人安静，不与四围的一切仇敌争战，已经多日。约书亚年纪老迈，
And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about； that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age。
23：2就把以色列众人的长老，族长，审判官，并官长都召了来，对他们说，我年纪已经老迈。
And Joshua called for all Israel； and for their elders； and for their heads； and for their judges； and for their officers； and said unto them； I am old and stricken in age：
23：3耶和华你们的神因你们的缘故向那些国所行的一切事，你们亲眼看见了，因那为你们争战的是耶和华你们的神。
And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you； for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you。
23：4我所剪除和所剩下的各国，从约旦河起到日落之处的大海，我已经拈阄分给你们各支派为业。
Behold； I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain； to be an inheritance for your tribes； from Jordan； with all the nations that I have cut off； even unto the great sea westward。
23：5耶和华你们的神必将他们从你们面前赶出去，使他们离开你们，你们就必得他们的地为业，正如耶和华你们的神所应许的。
And the LORD your God； he shall expel them from before you； and drive them from out of your sight； and ye shall possess their land； as the LORD your God hath promised unto you。
23：6所以，你们要大大壮胆，谨守遵行写在摩西律法书上的一切话，不可偏离左右。
Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses； that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left；
23：7不可与你们中间所剩下的这些国民搀杂。他们的神，你们不可提他的名，不可指着他起誓，也不可事奉，叩拜。
That ye e not among these nations； these that remain among you； neither make mention of the name of their gods； nor cause to swear by them； neither serve them； nor bow yourselves unto them：
23：8只要照着你们到今日所行的，专靠耶和华你们的神。
But cleave unto the LORD your God； as ye have done unto this day。
23：9因为耶和华已经把又大又强的国民从你们面前赶出。直到今日，没有一人在你们面前删立得住。
For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong： but as for you； no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day。
23：10你们一人必追赶千人，因耶和华你们的神照他所应许的，为你们争战。
One man of you shall chase a thousand： for the LORD your God； he it is that fighteth for you； as he hath promised you。
23：11你们要分外谨慎，爱耶和华你们的神。
Take good heed therefore unto yourselves； that ye love the LORD your God。
23：12你们若稍微转去，与你们中间所剩下的这些国民联络，彼此结亲，互相往来，
Else if ye do in any wise go back； and cleave unto the remnant of these nations； even these that remain among you； and shall make marriages with them； and go in unto them； and they to you：
23：13你们要确实知道，耶和华你们的神必不再将他们从你们眼前赶出。他们却要成为你们的网罗，机槛，肋上的鞭，眼中的刺，直到你们在耶和华你们神所赐的这美地上灭亡。
Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you； but they shall be snares and traps unto you； and scourges in your sides； and thorns in your eyes； until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you。
23：14我现在要走世人必走的路。你们是一心一意地知道，耶和华你们神所应许赐福与你们的话没有一句落空，都应验在你们身上了。
And； behold； this day I am going the way of all the earth： and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls； that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you； all are e to pass unto you； and not one thing hath failed thereof。
