既是儿女，便是后嗣，就是 神的后嗣，和基督同作后嗣（罗8：17）。 你们既属乎基督，就是亚伯拉罕的后裔，是照着应许承受产业的了（加3：29）。 你看父赐给我们是何等的慈爱，使我们得称为 神的儿女（约壹3：1）。从此以后，你不是奴仆，乃是儿子了。既是儿子，就靠着 神为后嗣（加4：7）。又因爱我们，就按着自己意旨所喜悦的，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分（弗1：5）。 父啊，我在哪里，愿你所赐给我的人也同我在哪里，叫他们看见你所赐给我的荣耀（约17：24）。 那得胜又遵守我命令到底的，我要赐给他权柄制服列国（启2：26）。得胜的，我要赐他在我宝座上与我同坐，就如我得了胜，在我父的宝座上与他同坐一般（启3：21）。 If children； then heirs； heirs of God； and joint…heirs with Christ。 If ye be Christ's； then are ye Abraham's seed； and heirs according to the promise。 Behold； what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us； that we should be called the sons of God。 — Thou art no more a servant； but a son； and if a son； then an heir of God through Christ。 — Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself； according to the good pleasure of his will。

挨近耶稣的怀里（约13：23）。 母亲怎样安慰儿子，我就照样安慰你们（赛66：13）。有人带着小孩子来见耶稣，要耶稣摸他们。于是抱着小孩子，给他们按手，为他们祝福（可10：13，16）。
